'Make a Teapot' at the Yarley Studio

This is a 2 session course on one weekend.  In the first session we will design the shape of the teapot in an initial session before throwing the bodies of the teapots, lids and spouts on the wheel.  The pieces will be dried to leather hard overnight.

The following day, we will turn the leather hard pieces and assemble the teapot ready for bisque firing.  At the stage some underglaze or slip decoration can be done.  The teapot will then be fired and glazed in transparent or shiny white glaze to be returned to you within 3-4 weeks. Both sessions are 3.5 hours long.  Participants must come to both sessions to finish their teapots. Payment for both needs to be made up front.  Some throwing skills are needed to get the most from the workshop.
